I have been successfully practicing law for 30 years in Southern Maryland. While my primary focus is personal injury, I also handle criminal and family law matters. I have a Bachelors Degree in economics and political science, a Masters Degree, and a Juris Doctorate of Law. I provide extreme flexibility for client scheduling to include evening and weekend appointments. Before attorneys even considered providing cell numbers to their clients, it was on my business card 20 years ago. I have many repeat clients which is a testament to my performance and their ultimate satisfaction. This fact is further evidenced by my 175+ perfect 5 Star Google Reviews.

Auto Accidents

My office has settled or successfully litigated over a thousand motor vehicle accident claims recovering in excess of 20 million dollars. Unlike most attorneys advertising personal injury experience, I provide my clients a unique advantage by previously working for a major insurance company resolving bodily injury claims. This edge provides my clients an “inside” position as opposed to other firms. It is important to remember that insurance companies have attorneys working full time on their behalf, and you need an attorney from the very beginning, whether a small or large claim. Insurance companies are profit motivated and do not have your best interest in mind. They are always nice in the beginning until time elapses, then, after you failed to get the treatment you required and the legal advice needed, they have the upper hand.

Criminal Law

My criminal practice also includes serious traffic matters and DWI offenses. Regardless of the circumstances, my goal is to protect my clients, their record and their status in life in the future, and not simply the short term. I’ve litigated hundreds of DWI/DUI matters and a multitude of criminal offenses.

Family Law

This is one of the most difficult areas of the practice of law and attorneys must be client focused and oriented. These cases vary to include contested divorce, property, alimony, and custody issues. Quite frankly, some attorneys should not be representing clients in this field as it requires a personal touch, patience, and being accessible at all times whether in, or out of the office.
